Steward's Report
Close Combat, Smooth Rumpler, Evie Wonder and Majestic George were quick to begin. Ambitious Miss was very slow to begin.
Top Brass underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a long head tricps injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Michael Cullen regarding Top Brass’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Top Brass was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Cullen pleaded guilty to the charge. Top Brass was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Rickii- Lee Church regarding the racing manners of Smooth Rumpler approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Ms. Church, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
