A pre-race sample was taken from Aristotle Bale prior to kennelling upon arrival at the course.
Aristotle Bale, Buckle Up Axel, Airbound and Callum's Mum were slow to begin. Dr. Rahoual, Buckle Up Axel, Airbound and Kathy's Queen collided soon after the start. Whatta Joke checked off Spring Leaf on the first turn. Airbound checked off Aristotle Bale in the back straight. Whatta Joke and Airbound collided on the third turn. Whatta Joke and Kathy's Queen collided approaching the home turn.
