A pre-race sample was taken from Sonic Fury prior to kennelling upon arrival at the course.

Sonic Fury and Serash Bale were quick to begin. Opec Bale was slow to begin. Alouette Magic and Macca's Sway collided soon after the start. Alouette Magic and Macca's Sway collided soon after the start. Alouette Magic checked off Macca's Sway approaching the first turn. Macca's Sway and Pennsylvania Is collided approaching the first turn. Pennsylvania Is crossed to the rail approaching the second turn. Macca's Sway and Serash Bale collided approaching the third turn.
