Billy Beergarden, Missy Bee and Speed Chill collided soon after the start checking Billy Beergarden and Missy Bee. Twirly Bird and Dirk And Rosie collided approaching the first turn. Dirk And Rosie, Kiria Lason, Missy Bee and Billy Beergarden collided on the first turn checking Missy Bee and Billy Beergarden. Missy Bee and Kiria Lason collided in the back straight. Twirly Bird and Queen Hera collided in the back straight and again approaching the home turn checking Queen Hera. Kiria Lason and Missy Bee collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Billy Beergarden eased in the home straight and collided with Hook Him In.
Mrs. M. Mallia- Magri, trainer of the greyhound Billy Beergarden declined to have the greyhound vetted following the event.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. M. Mallia-Magri, trainer of the greyhound Billy Beergarden regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Billy Beergarden with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. M. Mallia-Magri pleaded guilty to the charge. Billy Beergarden was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
