Seabrook Shan, Harcourts Joe, Oops and Brandeen Ed were slow to begin. Riverdale Daisy, Claremorris and Promised Kiss collided approaching the fist turn, checking Promised Kiss and severely checking Riverdale Daisy. Harcourts Joe checked off Promised Kiss on the first turn. Seabrook Shan and Harcourts Joe collided several times from approaching the home turn to the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Claremorris checked off Oops in the home straight.
