Steward's Report
Aston East was slow to begin. Buckle Up Louis, Bar The Bullet and Our Blue Earner collided approaching the first turn checking Our Blue Earner. Ima River Boy and Zipping Electra collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Zipping Electra and causing Aston East to fall. Bar The Bullet and Ripplebrook Al collided on the first turn checking Bar The Bullet. Ima River Boy was checked off Ripplebrook Al approaching the home turn.
Aston East was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured neck, left foreleg, left hind leg and a laceration to the lower lip, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Meeting Comments
Stewards issued a warning to kennel attendants Mr. Craig Moran and Mr. Graham Campbell after the greyhound Gifted Man (race 5) was placed in the incorrect kennel then subsequently removed and placed it in its allotted kennel without permission from the Stewards.
Satisfactory trial returning from retirement -
Bella Mikado trialled over the 400 metres from box 1,weight 27.5kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.33 secs, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 2.3/4 lengths. Bella Mikado was cleared.
