Steward's Report
Almost Human was a late scratching at 6.05pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Kang Bale.
Flying Alf was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Power Volt, Destiny Bale and Glock were slow to begin. Power Volt was checked off Happy Outlook on the first turn. Flying Alf was checked off Power Volt on the first turn. Flying Alf was checked off Destiny Bale on the home turn.
Kang Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left loin requiring stitches and a laceration to the left hock, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Frank Ryan regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Flying Alf. Stewards directed that Flying Alf be boxed first in future events.
