Jumbuck Hellcat – Late scratching at 2:13 pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to an elevated temperature. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Whiskey Splash and Inter Terra were quick to begin. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Ripper Rose on 5/12/23 pursuant to GAR 139.

A sample was taken from Inter Beast Boy upon arrival at the course.    

A pre-race sample was taken from Ripper Rose. 

Mr. Drifter was slow to begin. 

Inter Beast Boy contacted the running rail approaching the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury and left hock abrasion. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Ripper Rose turned it's head outwards in the home striaght, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 5. Ripper Rose was found to have left triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jeffery Chignell regarding Ripper Rose’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Ripper Rose was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Chignell pled guilty to the charge, Ripper Rose was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A sample was taken from Eden's Gift upon arrival at the course.    

Lamia Dominique was quick to begin. 

Victory Chad contacted the running rail approaching the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Bomber's Smokey. 

Hurricane Pete was quick to begin. 

Hurricane Pete was severely checked on the first turn and lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left quadriceps muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Rhonda Gem upon arrival at the course.

Sweaty Hand and Rhonda Gem were slow to begin. Why Not Emily was very slow to begin. 

Dr. Rodrigo was slow to begin. 

Dr. Rodrigo underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a nasal pad abrasion. No stand down period was imposed. 

A post-race sample was taken from Raised Right - the winner of the event. 

Stewards conducted a check of the catcher’s licences in accordance with LRR 19.2, all were compliant.

Redgum Flyer and Harvey were quick to begin. 

Braemar Audrey shifted out on the first turn and was severely checked, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left and right triangle injury. A7 day stand down period was imposed.

Hurricane Max – Was ordered to wear an anti–aggression muzzle in all future events in accordance with GAR 131. 

Determination and Dr. Evangelise were quick to begin. 

Bomber's Reward faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Bomber's Reward underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. Moana, Big Trucker and Below The Curve were slow to begin. 

She's Bonnie was severely checked on the first turn and subsequently fell. She's Bonnie underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Whiskey Jess lost ground approaching the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock sprain. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Below The Curve underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock abrasion. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Steven Hanning regarding the racing manners of Below The Curve on the first turn. After hearing submissions from Mr Hanning, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.

Fire Ant was quick to begin. Jason Rose went up with the lids at box rise. 

Got The Beat contacted the running rail approaching the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury, right back muscle and right hind split webbing. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Fire Ant faltered on the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

In accordance with GAR 156(f)(ii) Mr Corey Fulford was issued with a warning regarding the preparation for racing. 

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track on the home turn and deemed it satisfactory for racing.

Whippy Flash was quick to begin. 

A sample was taken from Spy Craft upon arrival at the course.

A pre-race sample was taken from Ultimate Teddy. 

Miss Angel Di was slow to begin. 

A post-race sample was taken from Awakening Dawn - the winner of the event.
