Penny's Jade was quick to begin. Dark Label was slow to begin.
Penny's Jade (commenced to lose ground from entering the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 10. Penny's Jade was found to have shin soreness to the left fore, a right hock sprain and a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
