Steward's Report
Good Chat Wispy was quick to begin. Arandt About and Microscopic were slow to begin.
Arandt About underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain, left fore monkey muscle strain and left hind triangle muscle strain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Simon Smith regarding the racing manners of Arandt About approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Smith, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
Stewards further spoke to Mr. Simon Smith regarding his conduct when requested to report to Stewards prior to leaving the course. Pursuant to GAR 165(a), Mr. Smith was reminded of his responsibilities to conduct himself in a manner that is at all times within the image and interest of greyhound racing.
