Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was unable to be taken from Lady Montana - a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Hold On Love, Twenty Deep and Lady Montana were slow to begin.
Trainer Ms. Kylie Muscat was issued with a warning for failing to follow the Starter's orders when boxing Rev Olive, pursuant to GAR 105.
Cannoneer commenced to lose ground from the back straight and underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Gerry Orr regarding the greyhound's performance. Mr. Orr advised Stewards that he expected the greyhound to perform consistent to its market expectations in tonight's event, but was positive about the early speed shown by Cannoneer. Mr. Orr added that he intends to further build the greyhound's racing capacity to be competitive at 525m or similar distances. Mr. Orr said he will assess the greyhound in the coming days to determine its next racing engagement and whether it will continue to race at a similar distance. Stewards noted these comments.
