Steward's Report
Usko Bale was quick to begin. Edgar Cloggs and Thestral were slow to begin.
Squiggle turned its head to the outside and visibly eased turning off the back straight and marred Bakis Bale from the home turn to the winning post. Squiggle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both calf muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Kathleen Boyle regarding Squiggle’s racing manners from turning off the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Squiggle was charged with marring. Ms. Boyle pleaded guilty to the charge. Squiggle was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
