Le Luca and Kaufman Bale were slow to begin. Kaufman Bale stumbled soon after the start and lost ground as a result. Le Luca checked off Dun And Dunna soon after the start. Uno Shelley, Dun And Dunna and Joshua Tree collided approaching the first turn checking Dun And Dunna. Dun And Dunna contacted the running rail on the first turn. Irish Sparkle checked off Uno Shelley on the first turn, stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result; Uno Shelley and Dun And Dunna were checked as a result. Irish Sparkle and Dun And Dunna collided several times from approaching the home turn to the home turn checking Irish Sparkle. Dun And Dunna checked off Kaufman Bale in the home straight.
Dun And Dunna was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazing to it's left metacarpal and right metatarsal. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. G. Whitford, the trainer of the greyhound Dun And Dunna regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.
