Spartan Flame lost ground in the back straight and continued to concede ground for the remainder of the event. Spartan Flame underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined after race 5. It was reported the greyhound was found to have a left biceps femoris muscle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. N. Hunt, regarding the performance of Spartan Flame throughout the event.  After hearing submissions from Mr. Hunt, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Spartan Flame to be unsatisfactory. Spartan Flame must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. Shane Jack was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for Take A Carnation, pursuant to GAR 88.

Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Billy Galea regarding the Jarrod's Boy's racing manners approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr. Galea, viewing all the available race footage, and acting on their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

The start was delayed by approximately two minutes due to operational activities.

Urana Express raced wide on the home turn. Obsessive Queen, Dante Bale and Little Rush raced wide entering the home straight. 

Always My Way – Late scratching at 12.50pm when Mr. Derek Faulknall reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Pirate Tails underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms. Carly Absalom regarding Pirate Tails' racing manners in the home straight. Ms. Absalom submitted to Stewards that Pirate Tails' racing manners in the home straight were the consequence of the interference caused by Pirate Tails attempting to get to the running rail. Due to the interference, Stewards were not comfortably satisfied that Pirate Tails' racing manners constituted a breach of the rules and subsequently took no further action. 

Rowcliffe Ruslie was severely checked and contacted the running rail in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a mild tarsal sprain (hock). A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Ms. Michelle Mallia requested an early race endorsement for Uranna Mr. Rob. Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on–track veterinarian. Uranna Mr. Rob will compete in early races until further notice.
