Steward's Report
Zipping Jolie and Dr. Racheal were quick to begin.
Barfly visibly eased approaching the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Ray Cunneen regarding Barfly’s racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Barfly was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Cunneen pled guilty to the charge and declined to option to have the greyhound re-vetted, Barfly was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Jumbuk Hellcat crossed out in the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Ben Joske regarding the racing manners of Jumbuk Hellcat on the first turn. After hearing submissions from Mr Joske, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
