Miss Ballantyne tailed the field throughout and lost further ground over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a cervio-thoracic injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Colin Baker regarding Miss Ballantyne’s performance in the event. After hearing evidence from Mr Baker, and taking into careful consideration the injury sustained, Stewards took no further action. Mr Baker advised Stewards that Miss Ballantyne will be spelled.

A post-race sample was taken from Armagh - the winner of the event. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Smackdown Shaka.

Smackdown Shaka underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have right hock sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Sharon's Lass turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the event. A post-race post–race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury. Sharon's Lass was placed on a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 106(1) and pursuant to GAR 132.

I'm A Gizmo marred Joelene Lass in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Kenneth Howat regarding I'm A Gizmo’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, I'm A Gizmo was charged with marring. Mr. Howat pleaded guilty to the charge. I'm A Gizmo was suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start was delayed by approximately two minutes due to an issue requiring remediation works with the starting boxes.

Daisy May was quick to begin. Mayday Mayday was slow to begin. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Longdown on 26/10/2023, pursuant to GAR 139.

Blue Scotch Boy raced wide in the home straight. 

Rocky Horror faltered turning out of the back straight and subsequently tailed off. A post–race veterinary examination revealed a right wrist sprain and right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Longdown - the winner of the event. 

A race day sample was taken from Dr. Jaylen at the trainer’s kennel earlier today.

Go Gizmo Go and Latham Bale were quick to begin. Second Thoughts and Flying Farrugia were slow to begin.

Second Thoughts was severely checked on the home turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Colour Violet, Big Boy Andre and Danyo's Boar were slow to begin. 

The start was delayed by approximately four minutes due to the presence of wildlife on the infield of the track. 

What Desire and Little Leo were quick to begin. 

What Desire and Superior Darcy raced wide in the home straight.

Shaka Goes Bang, Hartland Prince and Man Of Courage were quick to begin. Daphnee's Gold and Sandy's Rebel were slow to begin. 

Go Now, Shaka Goes Bang, Daphnee's Gold, Tornado Jack, Sandy's Rebel and Man Of Courage raced wide entering the home straight.   

Sandy's Rebel faltered approaching the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right shoulder injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Marionvale Lass was quick to begin. Buster Harley was slow to begin.

Time Turner raced wide in the home straight. 

Buster Harley faltered turning off the back straight and subsequently pulled up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a right hock injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Red Impact. 

Phantom Patch was quick to begin. 

My Mate Martha was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparant injury was reported. 

Red Impact faltered in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder injury and a right back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed

Brave Lad – Trainer Mr Daryl Weightman was queried about betting fluctuations observed by Stewards. Mr. Weightman stated that he had supported the greyhound in the event. The comments of Mr. Weightman were noted and a pre-race sample was taken for analysis.

Zea Jay was quick to begin. Lala Que was slow to begin.
