Alvin Delight and Argyle Emma were quick to begin. Shima Johnny was slow to begin.
Shima Johnny (severely checked and fell on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a bilateral radius and ulna fracture. Shima Johnny was humanely euthanised.
