Tear Away Scar was slow to begin. Why Not Liam, Mr. Alouette and Asha Rhode collided soon after the start checking Why Not Liam and Asha Rhode. Just Angus, Occupation Lad and Lots Of Yap collided approaching the first turn checking Just Angus and Tear Away Scar and severely checking Occupation Lad. Asha Rhode checked off Tear Away Scar entering the home straight. Why Not Liam and Tear Away Scar collided approaching the winning post.
Occupation Lad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left pencil muscle, right back muscle and left wrist, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
