Miner Rush was slow to begin. Darcy's Entity, Say Again and Flying Casey collided soon after the start checking Flying Casey and Say Again. Dodgy Dealer, Kalden Crixus and Darcy's Entity collided approaching the first turn checking Dodgy Dealer and Kalden Crixus. Dodgy Dealer, Kalden Crixus, Flying Casey and Say Again collided on the first turn checking Flying Casey and Say Again and severely checking Kalden Crixus, which then contacted the running rail.
Kalden Crixus was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
