Emmet Ryker went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Spring Choice was slow to begin. Spring Gogolac and City Rambler were quick to begin. Tycoon Diamond and Spring Rate collided soon after the start, checking Tycoon Diamond. City Rambler checked off Spring Gogolac approaching the first turn and stumbled as a result, checking Uncle Ant. Tycoon Diamond, Spring Choice and City Rambler collided approaching the first turn.  Tycoon Diamond crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Spring Choice and City Rambler. Emmet Ryker raced wide approaching the second turn. Uncle Ant and Spring Choice collided on the second turn, checking Uncle Ant. City Rambler checked off Tycoon Diamond on the home turn.

Due to a computer malfunction there was no photo finish available for this event.  

Zeva Diva was a late scratching at 5:48pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Zatmine, Black Eyed Papa, Thracian and Baby's Rattle were slow to begin. Margaret Arelia was quick to begin. Shawshank crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Black Eyed Papa and Zatmine. Zatmine checked off Margaret Arelia approaching the first turn, checking Shawshank, Baby's Rattle and Black Eyed Papa; Shawshank and Black Eyed Papa raced wide as a result. Thracian and Baby's Rattle collided approaching the second turn, severely checking Thracian. Dick Dastardly raced wide approaching the home turn. Black Eyed Papa checked off Thracian in the home straight. 

Shawshank was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind laceration; a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Duke Bale. 

Red Maxwell and Bonjour Bonsoir were slow to begin. Miss Woorndoo and Red Maxwell collided soon after, checking Red Maxwell. Laquita Lass, Classic Nitro, Dr. Rahoual and Miss Woorndoo collided soon after the start, checking Dr. Rahoual. Classic Nitro and Miss Woorndoo collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Classic Nitro which contacted the running rail. Miss Woorndoo checked off Laquita Lass on the first turn. Dr. Rahoual and Red Maxwell collided on the first turn, checking Red Maxwell which raced wide as a result. Classic Nitro checked off Miss Woorndoo on the second turn. Laquita Lass and Bonjour Bonsoir collided in the back straight, checking Laquita Lass. Laquita Lass, Red Maxwell and Classic Nitro collided approaching the home turn, checking Laquita Lass and Red Maxwell. Laquita Lass and Red Maxwell collided on the home turn.

Lochinvar Akira and Hi Laddie were slow to begin. Midori Moment crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Lochinvar Akira, Dr. Buffy, Fragility and Why Not Donna. Why Not Donna, Fragility, Dr. Buffy and Lochinvar Akira collided approaching the first turn, checking Fragility, Hi Laddie and severely checking Dr. Buffy. Lochinvar Akira checked off Dr. Taylor on the second turn, checking Why Not Donna. Why Not Donna raced wide in the back straight. Dr. Taylor and Midori Moment collided several times on the home turn. Fragility checked off Lochinvar Akira collided in the home straight.

Andy Jay, Akina Akeira and Semjase was slow to begin. Under Taker and Nimble Icon collided soon after the start, checking Nimble Icon. Semjase checked off Andy Jay approaching the first turn. Akina Akeria and Semjase collided entering the front straight, checking Akina Akeira. Nimble Icon and Matlin's Tornado collided on the first turn, checking Matlin's Tornado. Akina Akeira and Semjase collided in the back straight, checking Semjase and Nimble Icon. Matlin's Tornado checked off Nimble Icon on the home turn. Levi's Huracan and Coulta Mayham collided entering the home straight, checking Levi's Huracan.

Call Me Scary was slow to begin. Pappa Gallo, Just Relax Ay and Dr. Des collided soon after the start, checking Just Relax Ay. Pappa Gallo, Dr. Des and Sky Fighter collided approaching the first turn, checking Dr. Des. Sky Fighter checked off Pappa Gallo on the first turn. Wealthy Schooner checked off Yoko on the first turn. Pappa Gallo raced wide in the front straight. Pappa Gallo clipped the heels of Call Me Scary approaching the home turn, checking Dr. Des. Yoko and Juan Diego collided on the home turn.

Charlie Spitz, Henry Garth, Heston Lodge and Vapour Lee were slow to begin. Vapour Lee crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Sonic Fury, Charlie Spitz, Henry Garth, Heston Lodge and severely checking Dr. Waugh which stumbled as a result. Charlie Spitz checked off Heston Lodge approaching the home turn.

A sample was taken from Vapour Lee, the winner of the event.

Ronnie's Rocket and Dewana Lass were slow to begin. Zoltar crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Cooler Colour and Kingston Regal. Cooler Colour and Ronnie's Rocket collided approaching the first turn and raced wide as a result. Ronnie's Rocket raced wide in the back straight. Zoltar lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Ronnie's Rocket was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left fore toe injury; a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mahalo, Assertive Bella and Josee were slow to begin. Midori Halo, Mahalo and Izzey bale collided soon after the start, checking Midori Halo. Izzey Bale checked off Black Jaymar approaching the first turn. Midnight Reign, Midori Halo and Izzey Bale collided on the first turn severely checking all three greyhound's. Assertive Bella galloped on Josee on the first turn, severely checking Izzey Bale and Assertive Bella; causing Josee to stumble and lose considerable ground as a result. Izzey Bale checked off Assertive Bella on the second turn. 

Josee was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Spin The Top, My Wish and Aston Dareh were slow to begin. Atomic Beach, Bell Tower, Go Zeppa and Corrine collided soon after the start, checking Bell Tower and Corrine. My Wish and Aston Dareh collided approaching the first turn, checking My Wish. Hot Carbon, Spin The Top and Corrine collided on the first turn, checking Spin The Top and Corrine. Aston Dareh checked off Spin The Top on the home turn, checking My Wish. My Wish and Aston Dareh collided on the home turn. Atomic Beach raced wide on the home turn and again entering the home straight. 

Gee Callan, Bassyappa and Brendan's Puzzle were slow to begin. Brendan's Puzzle and Gee Callan collided on the first turn. Bassyappa faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result. Plea For Beer and Noaki Lynx collided on the home turn. 

Bassyappa was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, and was humanely euthanised.

 A pre race sample was taken from Smashing Sucess.

Our Blue Earner, Chief and Money To Burn was slow to begin. Smashing Success, Won Wron Flyer and One Step Beyond collided approaching the first turn, checking Won Wron Flyer and severely checking Smashing Success and Our Blue Earner. One Step Beyond, Chief and Money To Burn collided on the first turn, checking Chief and Money To Burn. Chief and Money To Burn collided in the home straight, checking Money To Burn.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Dejay Flyer trialled over the 311 metres from box 1, weight 28.0kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.91, the greyhound won bya margin of 0.25 lengths. Dejay Flyer was Cleared To Race In Blinkers.
