Grand Bomber was quick to begin. Leo Speedwagon and Tat Jocko were slow to begin. All Inn Memphis crossed to the rail soon after the start. All Inn Memphis, Letsy Bale and Mrs. Fozz collided soon after the start checking Mrs. Fozz and Leo Speedwagon. Tat Jocko and Leo Speedwagon collided approaching the first turn. Dingo Bale, Grand Bomber and Rambo's Party collided on the first turn. Grand Bomber checked off Rambo's Party on the first turn checking Grand Bomber. Grand Bomber and Mrs. Fozz collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Grand Bomber raced wide on the home turn.

Grand Bomber was vetted and re-vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Glover the trainer of the greyhound Grand Bomber.  Stewards deemed the performance of [Grand Bomber unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Grand Bomber must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fraya Bale was quick to begin. Thunder Flame was slow to begin. Dougie's Cactus and Northern Blues collided approaching the first turn. Mordor Bale checked off Come At Me on the first turn. Thunder Flame checked off Dougie's Cactus on the first turn. Northern Blues and Anisa Bale collided on the first turn checking Northern Blues and Dougie's Cactus. 

A sample was taken from Tiggerlong Await - winner of the event.

Mordor Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a badly cut left hind leg, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Northern Blues was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left foreleg and both hind legs, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Watto Surprise was slow to begin. Pass Of Time, Beauty Bale and Mermaid Millie collided soon after the start checking Pass Of Time and Beauty Bale. Pass Of Time, Beauty Bale and Mermaid Millie collided approaching the first turn checking Beauty Bale and Mermaid Millie. Mermaid Millie checked off Beauty Bale on the home turn.

Duck Hole Flyer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sprained right wrist and right thigh soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Approval and Aristotle Bale collided soon after the start. Tiggerlong Moon, Aristotle Bale and Be Two Bomber collided soon after the start. Aristotle Bale and Tiggerlong Moon collided approaching the first turn checking Tiggerlong Moon. Aristotle Bale, Be Two Bomber and Ifrit Bale collided on the home turn.

Yellowrock Blaze was quick to begin. Want That Rabbit and Dyna Olaf were slow to begin. Want That Rabbit and Dyna Olaf collided soon after the start checking Want That Rabbit which faltered and tailed off as a result. Eye Adam and Skip's Nightmare collided approaching the first turn. Dyna Olaf and He's Innocent collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Olaf  which contacted the running rail and tailed off as a result. Dyna Olaf was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained deep abrasions to the left hind leg and virtually severed toes, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Hard Urned Burst was slow to begin. Be Up, Let ZMe Be and Rustic Rocket collided soon after the start checking Let Me Be and Rustic Rocket. Nikki Cee and Rustic Rocket collided approaching the first turn. Hard Urned Burst checked off Be Up on the first turn. Let Me Be checked off Rustic Rocket on the first turn. Magic Diva and Be Up collided approaching the home turn. Hard Urned Burst and Nikki Cee collided approaching the home turn. Be Up and Magic Diva collided approaching the home turn checking Magic Diva.

Dyna Tony and Zoe collided soon after the start. Zoe, Derby Magic and Allen Icarus collided on the first turn checking Derby Magic and Allen Icarus. Speedy In Oz checked off Don't Be Short on the home turn. Three Star Chef and Aston Caleb collided in the home straight.

Mr Terrence Dexter trainer of Katunga Time  redeclared a new weight of 32.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).Katunga Time last raced at 30.8kg.

Take Up Jack and Woomera were quick to begin. Gunai Diva and Katunga Time collided soon after the start checking Gunai Diva. Katunga Time and Woomera collided soon after the start. Roo Dee and Take Up Jack collided soon after the start checking Roo Dee. Roo Dee and Katunga Time collided approaching the first turn checking Katunga Time. Take Up Jack, Cowboy Jury and To Seven Eleven collided on the first turn checking To Seven Eleven. Take Up Jack eased on the home turn checking Roo Dee and Cowboy Jury. Cowboy Jury and Katunga Time collided in the home straight. Katunga Time and To Seven Eleven collided in the home straight.

Take Up Jack was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Collins the representative of the greyhound Take Up Jack regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Take Up Jack  with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr J Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Take Up Jack was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(A)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
