Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Rare Tarra.
Rare Tarra was quick to begin.
Empty Your Mind, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Brett Mackie regarding Empty Your Mind’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Empty Your Mind was charged with marring. Mr B. Mackie pleaded guilty to the charge. Empty Your Mind was suspended for 28 days at sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Dr. Glacier, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Judith Mcmahon regarding the racing manners of Dr. Glacier in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Ms Judith Mcmahon, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
