Steward's Report
Kennels closed approximately seven minutes late due to computer issues.
A pre-race sample was taken from We Are One.
Dernancourt, Lagnucourt and Luna's Girl were quick to begin. We Are One and All In Nino were slow to begin.
Baby Doll (checked and pulled up approaching the turn out of the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Ciro Accardi regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the event. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Baby Doll was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Accardi pleaded guilty to the charge. Baby Doll was suspended for 28 days at Bendigo only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
We Are One (handler's request) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured toe on the right fore. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
