Steward's Report
Kennels closed approximately five minutes late due to issues with Fasttrack.
A pre-race sample was taken from Sir Dodge.
Kenneth Bale, Oakover Road, Aston Dimitri and Captain Katie were quick to begin. Paw Veldron was slow to begin.
Oakover Road underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4 – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Owner Mr Myles Delbridge and representative Mr Keith Lloyd regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Oakover Road was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Lloyd pleaded not guilty to the charge. Oakover Road was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Suranne Bale (checked approaching home turn, raced wide and lost ground) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no injury reported.
