Doongalla Gal crossed out and collided several times with Judge Jebrynah in the home straight. Doongalla Gal underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Ashley Onley regarding the racing manners of Doongalla Gal in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Onley, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action

Alazne faltered on the first turn and subsequently lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg long head triceps injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Arkstorm faltered on the first turn and subsequently lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Rio Boris – Late scratching at 18:19 due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Ms Tylah Boreland was fined $100. 

Mr. Holiday – New declared weight of 34.8kg, last raced at 33.4kg.

A pre–race sample was taken from Elita One.

Convict Model and Rio Whizzer were slow to begin.

Chicken Burger contacted the running rail in the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left quad. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Jocelyn Will Do, Braemar Molly and Be Graceful were quick to begin.

Jocelyn Will Do was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right calf. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A post–race sample was taken from Breamar Molly – the winner of the event. 

The mirror for the photo finish was unsuitable for use for this event. The Judge and Stewards were unable to identify a margin between Big Jim and Be Graceful for 3rd place, and declarded a dead heat for third place.

Catch Some Rays, Lillico Nikki and Zappy Bale were slow to begin.

Stewards interviewed Ms Donna Dean in relation to the bona fides of the withdrawal of Hot Hailey from this race. Stewards noted the comments.

Tropicana was quick to begin. Flying Ryker and Arts Inferno were slow to begin.

Hello Easy – Late scratching at 13:56 when Mr. Michael Tharle reported the greyhound to have an injury to the foot (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Akina Lad, Collinda Rise and Harry The Hood were quick to begin.

Stewards held the All Clear after the lure stopped approaching the first turn with the field of greyhounds catching the lure. Pursuant to GAR 110, the event was declared a ‘No Race’. All bets are to be refunded. The weights recorded for the greyhounds are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds’ next start.
