Meek – Late scratching at 6.45pm by Order of Stewards - No stand down period was imposed.  Meek underwent a veterinary examination and found to have a right eye condition.  Acting under the provisions of GAR42(4)(b), Meek must perform a Satisfactory Trial to certify that the greyhound's vision is adequate to allow the greyhound to see the lure.  Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr. Chris Stanton in relation to the matter.  Mr. Stanton supplied an independent veterinary certificate attesting that there were no obvious abnormalities to Meek's left eye.

Inter Star Fire and Huggy Wuggy were quick to begin.  Hail Zeus and Zipping Phoenix were slow to begin.

Tilly Tornado, Federal Command and Zipping Phoenix raced wide in the home straight.

Mr. Stefano Cassar was issued with a warning pursuant to GAR 156(f)(ii) for negligence, in that the incorrect race rug was placed on Huggy Wuggy.

Bun Storm (catching pen), underwent a post-race veterinary examination.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a spike wound to the left-fore radius.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Post-race urine and blood samples were taken from Pat Ability – the winner of the event.

Tinker Norm and Dinner's On were slow to begin.

Creator and Tinker Norm raced wide in the home straight.

Kingsley Bale was quick to begin.  Yogen Bale was slow to begin.

Post–race blood and urine samples were taken from Matt Loch – the winner of the event.

A post–race sample was taken from Vincent Bale – placed second in the event.

Harajuka Lass – Late scratching at 6.36pm on the advice of the On– Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a cough/wheeze. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre–race sample was taken from No Right Turns.

Joey Two Times and Mala Angel were quick to begin.  No Right Turns and Bonnie Brann were slow to begin.

Bonnie Brann (severely checked on the turn off the back straight), underwent a post-race veterinary examintion.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a spike wound to the right fore.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Xisco Bale (marred Joey Two Times approaching the finishing line), underwent a post-race veterinary examination.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have minor abrasions to the right metatarsal.  No stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr. Jake Loverso regarding the racing manners of Xisco Bale approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Xisco Bale was charged with marring.  Mr. Loverso pleaded guilty to the charge.  Xisco Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

It was noted that the muzzle on No Right Turns was partially dislodged during the running of the event.

Mr. Blue Sky - Late scratching  at 10:12pm after the on-course Veterinarian reported the greyhound to have a toe injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Maximum Shanae (lost ground on the turn off the back straight and lost ground), underwent a post-race veterinary examination.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a left toe injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
