Steward's Report
Idaho Evie was quick to begin. Viper was slow to begin.
Top Prairie (visibly eased entering the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wound to the left wrist.. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Scott Melville regarding Top Prairie’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Top Prairie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Melville pleaded guilty to the charge. Top Prairie was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
