Steward's Report
Tangela Bale was quick to begin. Aston Kalkarra, Crymelon Comet and Dr. Falkor were slow to begin.
Post–race samples were taken from Tangela Bale (1st), and Nature Strip (2nd).
Highly Alert (racing manners in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind toe. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr. D. Kerr regarding the racing manners of Highly Alert in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Highly Alert was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Kerr pleaded guilty to the charge. Highly Alert was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
