Play The Victim and Tangela Bale were slow to begin.

Tangela Bale (crossed out and marred Dr. Falkor in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg long head triceps injury and a left hindleg gracilis injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Deborah Coleman regarding Tangala Bale’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Tangala Bale was charged with marring. Ms. Coleman plead guilty to the charge. Tangala Bale was suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a  Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Wandana Lad was quick to begin.

High Emotion crossed out soon after the start and raced wide throughout the event. 

Wandana Lad (lost ground in the back straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Garry Johnson regarding the racing manners of Wandana Lad in the back straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Johnson, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.

War Knee underwent a post–race veterinary examination was re–examined following race 11. War Knee was found to have a left hindleg sartorius injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Alan Campbell regarding War Knee’s performance and racing manners in the back straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Campbell, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of War Knee unsatisfactory. War Knee must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tommy's hitman – Late scratching at 11:13 when Mr. John Boreland reported the greyhound to have Illness (Diarrhoea) (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Crackerjack Jet – Late scratching at 13:06 when Mr. Grant Hammerstein reported the greyhound to have soreness (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Udellar Bale (faltered turning out of the back straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left tibia fracture. Udellar Bale was humanely euthanised.
