Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Braemar Jessie upon arrival at the course.
Watching Over – New declared weight of 32.2 kg, last raced at 30.7 kg.
A pre–race sample was taken from Chewbacca.
Barnaby Gem turned its head outwards in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs Lesley Russell regarding Barnaby Gem’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Barnaby Gem was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Russell pled guilty to the charge, Barnaby Gem was found guilty and suspended for three months all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
