Steward's Report
Acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure, racing was suspended at 6.27pm due to lightning strikes within the designated safety zone around the the venue. Due to safety concerns, the meeting was delayed and races re–scheduled accordingly as follows: R1-7.38pm: R2-7.55pm: R3-8:15pm: R4-8.33pm: R5-8:49pm: R6-9.05pm: R7-9;24pm: R8-9:43pm: R9-10:02pm: R10-10:20pm: R11-10:36pm: R12-10:52pm.
Circle The City was quick to begin. Seth Sonic and Harry Bale were slow to begin.
Harry Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. M. Delbridge, regarding the racing manners of Harry Bale in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Harry Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Delbridge pleaded guilty to the charge. Harry Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
