Canya Supersonic was quick to begin. Boondocks and Mrs Eshay were slow to begin.
Boondocks raced wide in the home straight.
Silver Mack, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind pencil muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr D. Burnett regarding Silver Mack's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Silver Mack was charged with marring. Mr. D. Burnett pleaded guilty to the charge. Silver Mack was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted
