Steward's Report

Crackerjack Maxy was quick to begin.

Crackerjack Maxy (severely checked on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Redeem This (severely checked and fell on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Solar Lock (visably eased approaching the home turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a torn nail. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. V. Millington regarding Solar Lock’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Solar Lock was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Millington pleaded guilty to the charge. Solar Lock was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track on the home turn and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
