Steward's Report
Every Four Years – Late scratching at 1.05pm due to trainer illness (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was removed after certification was produced.
Maximum Gracie was quick to begin. Pryor Bale and Claretown Ryan were slow to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Ike Bale – the winner of the event.
Pryor Bale - racing manners approaching winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have cervico-thoracic soreness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr M Johnson regarding the racing manners of Pryor Bale approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr M Johnson, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations (no head on footage available), the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
