Steward's Report
Jason Formosa failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Over Bite Rocky for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).
Bismuth was quick to begin. Can Get Thirsty and Rhinehart were slow to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Bismuth – the winner of the event.
Synchronised racing manners home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a pencil muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Mark Keane regarding Synchronised’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Synchronised was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr Mark Keane pleaded guilty to the charge. Synchronised was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Can Get Thirsty severely checked first turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Rhinehart severely checked first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg spike wound injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
