Cheeky Wink was quick to begin.
Ninetymile Rose (turned head inwards entering the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no injury reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr N. Rooney regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Ninetymile Rose was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Rooney pleaded guilty to the charge. Ninetymile Rose was suspended for 28 days at Meadows only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
