A pre-race sample was taken from Andre Bale.
Valor Bale was slow to begin.
Lornett Express was severely checked and fell on the first turn, taking no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right-hind pencil muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Mepunga Mustang was severely checked and fell on the first turn, taking no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left wrist. No stand down period was imposed.
