A pre-race sample was taken from El Dorado.
Kai Bale and Nelvin Bale were slow to begin.
El Dorado was severely checked and fell turning out of the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left radius/ulna fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
