A post–race sample was taken from Dunach Fireball – the winner of the event.
Sugar Bowl Rose racing manners home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right tricep and left hock. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr P Hammerstein regarding the racing manners of Sugar Bowl Rose in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr P Hammerstein, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
