Steward's Report
Stewards interviewed Mrs Samantha Grenfell in relation to the bona fides of the withdrawal of Fitzroy Bale from this race. Mrs. Grenfell advised Stewards that the greyhound has a split webbing and hock soreness. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of fitness to be produced before any further nominations are accepted for Fitzroy Bale, in accordance with GAR19(3)(w).
A pre-race sample was taken from Petzel Bale.
Len Me Dad was quick to begin. Quill Bale and Dash Express were slow to begin.
Quill Bale faltered soon after the start and subsequently tailed off, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
