Steward's Report
Jet Fighter was quick to begin. Ram Rocks was slow to begin.
Jet Fighter (marred Ethanol Water entering the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the right fore. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Donna Knight regarding Jet Fighter's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Jet Fighter was charged with marring. Ms. Knight pleaded guilty to the charge. Jet Fighter is suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trial/s in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Silent Bullet (visibly eased and turned head outwards entering the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 5 - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Ms. Sarah Mckay regarding Silent bullet's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Silent Bullet was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Mckay pleaded not guilty to the charge. Silent Bullet was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Bluebelle Colour (severely checked entering the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
