A pre–race sample was taken from Gravitational.
Cooper Summer, Aston Recall and Fiery Flirt were slow to begin.
Poholke (severely checked and fell on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left and right back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Gravitational (severely checked and lost ground on the home turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury and a right chest muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
