A pre–race sample was taken from Darra Topaz.
Aston Aurelia was quick to begin. Shock And Awe and Saxon Raider were slow to begin.
Midnight Mass (checked on the first turn and again on the home turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain and and left deltoid muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
