A sample was taken from New Ability upon arrival at the course.
Orson As was quick to begin. Capala and New Ability were slow to begin. Bubsy Fernando and New Ability raced wide in the home straight.
Lancome Lass (lost ground turning into the home straight),underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
