Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Squiggly Sam on 05/09/2023, pursuant to GAR 139.
A pre-race sample was taken from Gretel's Girl.
Nimble Willow and Gretyl's Girl were quick to begin.
Gretel's Gril (performed below market expectations) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards questioned trainer Mr. Gino Micallef concerning the fixed odds betting fluctuations for Gretel's Girl in the event ($6-$1.40). Mr. Micallef stated that he had not supported the greyhound in the event, though he did believe the greyhound had a winning chance based on its most recent performance.
