Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from McIvor Roxy.
Lala Quick and Lala Noel were slow to begin.
Lala Quick– Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106.
McIvor Roxy– Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events, in accordance with GAR 106.
McIvor Roxy (faltered approaching the first turn first and lost ground) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Electra Glide -underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain and a left quadricepts injury. A14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Gary Mannion regarding Electra Glide’s racing mannersin the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124,Electra Glide was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Mannion pleaded not guilty to the charge. Electra Glide was found guilty and suspended for 28 days atall tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
