Trainer Mr. Louie Bicchieri failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Firing Chief for racing. A fine of $200 was issued, pursuant to GAR 97(2).

Aeroplane Erin (severely checked at the 250m mark) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Following the running of this event, Stewards were made aware of an incident in the wash bay area involving registered participants Mr. Brent Merton and Ms. Kathleen Newport. After hearing submissions from Mr. Merton, Ms. Newport, and several other witnesses to the incident, Stewards imposed the following penalty after considering all the available evidence: 

Mr. Brent Merton - Pleaded not guilty to a charge of GAR 165(a) in that he engaged in conduct that was detrimental to the interest and image of greyhound racing. Stewards found Mr. Merton guilty as charged and imposed a penalty of 3-months suspension, with two months wholly suspended for a period of 24 months, pending no further conduct-related issues in this time.

Cyclone Summer (lost ground throughout the event) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. 

A sample was taken from Insensitive upon arrival at the course.

Cashed Out – New declared weight of 31.0kg, last raced at 29.5kg.

Inter Buzz Along and Bear Lee Bandit were slow to begin.

Citi Field – Late scratching at 16:04 on 30/11/2023 when trainer Mr Jack Clarke reported the greyhound to have a triangle injury (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Superior Darcy was very slow to begin.

Pursuant to GAR 75(7), Steward Ms D. Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event.

A pre–race sample was taken from Show Princess. 

Predator Dreams was quick to begin. Banjo Jack was slow to begin. 

A post–race sample was taken from Predator Dreams – the winner of the event.

A sample was taken from Zambora Riot upon arrival at the course.

Harley was quick to begin. Selma Slick and Zambora Riot were slow to begin. 

Selma Slick (faltered at the 200m mark and failed to enter the catching pen) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Harley (turned head to the inside approaching the 150m mark) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind paw. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Gregory Mills regarding Harley’s racing manners approaching the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Harley was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Mills pleaded guilty to the charge. Harley must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Irish Brew was quick to begin. Call Me Dusty was slow to begin. 

A pre–race sample was taken from Jean's River.

Ocean Mist was quick to begin. Cailah's Crew was slow to begin.

A pre–race sample was taken from Dakoda Sunset.

Dakoda Sunset and Hasten Jet were slow to begin.

Hacker (lost ground throughout the event) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Martinovic regarding Hacker's overall performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Martinovic to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Hacker in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Hasten Jet (faltered at the 250m mark) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right flexor tendon injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Supplementary Report 4 December 2023: Mr Peter Martinovic, notified Stewards in accordance with GAR 122 that Hacker was found to have a left calf injury following the run at Healesville on 1 December 2023.
