What A Doll was quick to begin. Lillico Nikki was slow to begin.
Malaika Bale turned its head outwards and marred What A Doll when rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to Mr. David Bickerton regarding Malaika Bale's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Malaika Bale was charged with marring. Mr. Bickerton pleaded not guilty to the charge. Malaika Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
