Golden Wonder (checked and lost ground approaching the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Awesome Jet (checked and lost ground on the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Lightning Ziggy – the winner of the event.
