Trending Xara, Untapped and Sunnyside Zeus were quick to begin. Valor Bale, Raven Owl and Aston Pablo were slow to begin.
Raven Owl underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Ms Rikki Church regarding Raven Owl's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Raven Owl was charged with marring, Ms Church pleaded guilty to the charge. Raven Owl is suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
